Tate... we need to talk.
Like, get the popcorn ready. This is gonna be a soap.

I started this series as I was just diving into the world of reverse harem.
I was young, naive, vulnerable.
(this was like 6 months ago? I'm exaggerating for emphasis folks.)

This series has been quite the roller-coaster. IN MY OPINION: Kit remained quite the same: selfish, completely fucking immature, sex-crazed, stupidly spontaneous. But I loved the guys (read: Austin).

Some books I liked more than others. Overall it

This series is over! I am strangely sad to be saying goodbye to Kit and her men. It’s been a massive guilty pleasure for me over the last few months. It’d be hard to argue that this is great literature, but this series is so addictive. Just mindless fun.
It’s hard to give a non-spoilery review of book 6 in a series, but I did think this one ended things well and tied up all loose ends. There is a pretty intense, great battle scene and things just finally all come together. It is definitely the mo

It causes my heart to ache knowing this was the last book of this series. 😩.. I must say I really enjoyed the ride of the ups and down of my Heroes and Heroine. So with with a heavy heart I say goodbye to one of the best series in the Reverse Harem genres I've read in a while.

Bravo 👏🏾 Tate James on a job well done.

Overall rating:
5*~ For the entire series~ A Very Good Read

So another series completed.

A 4 star series. Out of the 5 books in this series, only one was bad and the other four were pretty good.

I actually liked the resolution of how Kit chose to handle Bridget. It had a sense of poetic justice. All loose ends were tied up and I loved the Lucy storyline, it was perfect.

What really swayed me into loving this just a little bit more was the fact that Kit didn't end up pregnant at the end which is usually how these series end.

A satisfying end

The best way I can break this book down is by describing it like 6 books in 1 . There is so much going on its like 6 mini stories all in one edition in order to round up the series and bring it to an end.

Book 1 The evil Kit tries to take over the world - scary ass mo-fo she most certainly was
Books 2-5 A short visit to 4 supernatural races each complete with its own mini adventure.
Book 6 The big finale.

I really enjoyed the mini books 1-5 it was the big finish/battle that I h

This book was an improvement over the last couple in the series.
Overall, it was an interesting series. It definitely kept me entertained.
My complaint with this final installment was the final battle. This 6 book series has been building up to that moment, and it was all much too quick and tidy. Everything wrapped up with a nice little bow. The intensity and suspense were missing from those final chapters. Also, the new post battle issues (new shifters/magic emerging) were concluded much t
After Kit and River go off on their own for a while to track down the doctor that was using Kit's blood to make super soldiers, the gang eventually ends up back together to prepare for war with Bridget. In addition to gathering as many supernaturals as possible to add to their ranks, they find out about an amulet that might help destroy the bonds Bridget has with her guardians. Getting the amulet might not be easy. In the end, (view spoiler) ...more

I am beyond upset that this series is over. I really don't know what I'm going to do without these six incredibly sexy, sassy guys and their Ban-Dia!

I'm not gonna give a layout of what happens in this book because if you're reading reviews of the final book in this series you should've read the first five books to know what was going to happen in this book. Or better yet, if you're reading reviews for the final book in this series to figure out if you want to read this series, that's just plan s

Good end to this series. Some things were a little predictable but I didn't mind. I am very glad though that the "flavor" of this book was more like books 1 and 2 which I really liked.

Austin is still my favorite of them all. ❤

What a ride!

I can’t believe it’s over! Anyone who loves mythology or has a sense of humour needs to read this. I would of liked to see Cole and Vali a bit closer but all things considered it was more natural, anything other would of been forced. What am I going to do with myself now?? Great work from this author. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

This book was a major let down for me. It felt like the entire series was all foreplay and build up and then there’s the worlds shortest climax if there even is one.

It starts out with Kit going supper cliche on her whole embrace-the-dark-side trope and does noting that wasn’t already overdone in 100+ tv shows/movies/books

1) Wines about her good side’s death? ✔
2) Kills people for no reason and in the most dramatic way possible? ✔
3) Wears leather because how dare she be original? ✔

It's all come down to this. The final battle for Earth. Only Kit or Bridget can walk away as the sole Ban Dia. If Bridget wins humans will be enslaved and paranormals will wreak havoc. But first there's a bit of housekeeping to do and dark Kit and hellhound River are on a path of deadly destruction. Revenge has taken over. Kit fell apart after the death of her father and Lucy, and River is lost to his beast. The rest of the team is barely holding it together without Kit and Alpha but are determi ...more

So..I just finished the series and must say I’m as disappointed as I thought I would be. If anyone is reading this, prepare yourself cuz’ this is going to be harsh! The only reason I kept reading these books was because I thought Kit would grow, but unfortunately she did not. She was as stupid, slutty, and full of herself as she was in the beginning. The only positive aspect of these books was the guys and the snake that pops up in the fifth installment. Actually, that snake said some things to ...more

That was it?

I kept with this series just to see how it was going to end.

This book was probably the best of the whole series even though it got to the point where I was thinking to myself "and what is going to be needed now?". Kit still annoys me and I didn't really feel like there was any character development (minus River). It was all coffee, sex / make out, and check the next thing on the "to do list".

It was neat that she had to get the four shrouds. What I don't understand was how s

Oh my gosh! This was a perfect way to end this incredible series. I’m so sad it’s over and Kit and the most amazing book boyfriends ever will be forever in my heart. I have to say, I kind of loved dark Kit and wish she stayed a little longer. Thank you Tate James for this wonderful world and the characters you’ve given us. I’m so excited to see what you give us next.

Last one

This was a great story and series to get lost in. Kit comes into her own. Finally getting the love and family she never had. Learning she is powerful mystical creature. Finding out about where she came from and bring magic back to the earth.

Beautiful end to a wonderful series

When you read a book or series that makes you cry,or makes you makes that incomprehensible series of noises as you finish that make the people around you ask if you're ok. That is this book. While I'm sad to see this series end, this is an excellent end that ties up many loose ends. Perfect ending to an excellent series. I loved this.

What a way to end this series!!!

It all comes down to this book!
I couldn't put it down once I started reading!
So much happens in this book and I don't want to put any spoilers out there, but you have to read this!
My heart raced throughout the whole story!
This final battle is epic!!!!
Great job wrapping this series up Tate!!! FLOVED IT!!!!!

Reading this book was bittersweet, it’s the last book in the series which is very sad but my goodness what a book!! We finally get all the answers to the questions that popped up through the series. With twists and turns, excitement drama and danger it is such an exciting read, and of course there is Kits special brand of humour and snark, I highly recommend this book and series

Wow this is simply the best ending to this series possible. With how much I have enjoyed the other Kit Davenport books I was afraid that the ending wouldn’t live up to my didn’t just live up to it she surpassed it.

Good book

Everything wrapped up almost to easily. The story was good and the relationships were pretty satisfactory. It might just be because I hate endings but something felt missing.

Better than the last book, but as a series finale ? Deeply disappointed 😔

Ok,....where to start...where to start.... where to start...
At the beginning...
When I first discovered this series w/ book one,I was over the moon 🌙.....
I love,love,love a GOOD RH....Period.... Full Stop..
But as everyone knows like any genre or sub genre or like with men, “ a good one can be hard to find”,but I thought I had here...
Heck, sometimes even finding a true RH that isn’t a big ole confused polyamorous relationship

This was, to be exact, a 3.75 star rating, but I've rounded it up to 4 not just because of the laws of mathematics but because this book deserves it, for how much I've enjoyed the Kit Davenport series over the last year. Let's get right into it...

We start off with Kit and River, having given themselves over to the darkness, doing a whole bunch of killing before the other guys can come and break them out of it. From there the struggle against Bride, (Kit's evil mother) proceeds apace. It took me

Don't get me wrong- I enjoyed The Alpha's Pack (especially because there are some MOMENTS with one of my favorites), but how is this the last book?

The Alpha's Pack jumps into the aftermath of Lucy's death, and Kit is NOT in a good place. Unfortunately, she and River have a bit of a "dark Willow" (any Buffy fans?) type of thing going on. Honestly, I was not surprised by this. I didn't enjoy seeing Kit fighting against her humanity because I think that generally she has a pretty strong moral compa

This book was better than the others in the series right up until the ending fell really flat. We know all along that sooner or later there would be a reveal. Despite this we are left without a clue how it was handled, what was done about it, or how the world reacted. It was all left to our imagination. Sorry, the writer would have been much better served giving us a couple chapters that showed us that UN speech and the reactions a fallout. It wouldn't have taken much, but boy did the l

Okay, I was a little frustrated with the beginning of this book. I was dying to see a grieving Kit, to feel the darkness that consumes someone who has lost their best friend. I mean, she allegedly killed some children in that lab, and that would have been dark and awesome, but I feel like it was sort of skimmed over. I wish we could have witnessed River accepting all of the things that he/the hellhound did while he was with Kit. I wanted pain and grieving and sorrow and heartbreak
