This book contains three Christmas mystery novellas by three different mystery authors featuring their main sleuths. Up first is the title story by Leslie Meier as Lucy Stone tries to figure out how a young woman died on the set of a movie being filmed in town. Next comes "Death by Yule Log" by Lee Hollis. In this story, Hayley Powell meets her daughter's new boyfriend. While she is less than impressed with him, she begins to poke around when he is accused of murder. In this fun Christmas Cozy we have three authors who deliver on some great mysteries. I read all three authors and love the series that they write. In this wonderful compilation you'll first meet Lucy Stone who is happy that her grandson is there to spend Christmas with her but what also has her excited is being an extra in a film that is being shot at a local home. When one of the workers is murdered Lucy finds someone standing over the body with a knife, but did they do it? In the second story ...more

I won this book from a Good Reads "First Reads" Giveaway and I am so glad that I did! This book will be published on October 30, 2018.

This collection of Christmas cozy mysteries by three new to me authors was a great opportunity for me to get to know their writing styles and characters.

Overall I enjoyed the collection and the two main themes that tied all three stories together: those of "A Yule Log Cake" and "Christmas in Maine." Recipes and letters from each author are included at the end of e

What a pleasure it was to spend time with some of my favorite friends in Yule Log Murder.
Each story was well told and had plenty of excitement and holiday cheer.
I don't want to choose a favorite story as each of these authors are on my top 10 favorite list.

Lucy Stone has been a long time favorite character and I never tire of reading about her and the family.
Lucy gets involved in another murder investigation and at the same time is dealing with some challenging family issues.

This collection of short stories by some of the best cozy mystery writers is just in time for the upcoming holidays! Three novellas are included in this volume and each story features a mystery with a Yule Log as a centerpiece. Because these are short stories, they go by fast but set a great tone for the holiday season. Each author brings characters into their short stories from their popular series, but you don't necessarily have to be familiar with the characters to appreciate the writing. I w ...more

Yule Log Murder contains three short cozy mysteries by Lucy Stone, Barbara Ross and Lee Hollis. Yule Log Murder by Leslie Meier takes us to Tinker’s Cove, Maine. Lucy is playing an extra in the period film, Guinevere being filmed at Pine Point. Lucy finds it tedious until the cook’s assistant is found dead smothered in pink icing from a yule log and a knife to the stomach. When Phyllis Lundquist’s relative is arrested for the crime, Lucy is tasked with finding the culprit. She must work in her s ...more

Three novellas in bestselling cozy mystery series all involving yule logs and set in the Christmas season are told in the Yule Log Murder.

The Yule Log Murder is part of the Lucy Stone series. An assistant on a movie shoot is killed while transporting a yule log. It includes the recipe for the yule log at the end of the story.

In Death by Yule Log, the obnoxious boyfriend of the daughter of Hayley Powell is suspected of bludgeoning someone to death with a frozen yule log. The recipes included soun

Yule Log Murder is a collection of three fun and easy to read cozy mystery novellas by Leslie Meier, Lee Hollis, and Barbara Ross. Each story is well written, with well-developed and likable characters.

YULE LOG MURDER is a collection of three cozy mystery novellas by Leslie Meier, Lee Hollis, and Barbara Ross. With the holiday season often hectic, it’s nice to sit down and relax with a story that captures the Christmas spirit. I greatly appreciate that each novella can be read as a standalone and aren’t so long that I can’t get to the myriad of activities and chores that get scheduled for this time of year.

Each of the stories are set in Maine: Yule Log Murder by Leslie Meier is in Tinker’s Co

Due out in October, this trio of Maine set mysteries are perfect for a chilly night. Curl up with a cup of your favorite cocoa and snuggle in for the evening, for this holiday treat. Meier's story bring a touch of Hollywood and murder to Maine; Hollis' story decorates family drama with murder; and Ross' (my favorite) story combines baking with murder (or does it?). Three great writers, three great stories. A perfect holiday treat!

I loved this book of 3 cozy stories from 3 different authors. I really love that they are set in Maine, because I live in Maine and the descriptions are so accurate.

All three cozies included food elements (YUM)!, Christmas and Maine, did I mention Maine?

Enjoy the season with these stories that will warm your heart.

This Christmas theme book was a pure joy! I have read every single book written by Leslie Meier and have watched the Stone family through many life stages.

While reading about Lucy's over-the-top hectic days, with many activities - and a murder to solve - I actually felt her exhaustion. A person can only handle so much, especially with the holiday stress. I felt we got to know a little bit more about Phyllis and her role in Tinkers Cove, and her big heart (along with her ample bosom).

Yule Log Murder brings three of my favorite authors together again for another holiday trilogy of Maine Christmas novellas, and I couldn't be happier!

Yule Log Murder by Leslie Meier is the first story in the book, and Lucy Stone has her hands full when Toby, Molly, and Patrick surprise the family for a Christmas visit, but she's too busy to spend much time with them because she's (of course!!!) investigating a suspicious death that occurred at the estate formerly owned by the late, and very wea

What a great way to get into the holiday spirit, especially if in addition to food, recipes, parties, and decorations you don’t mind an amateur sleuth and a little murder and mystery. Yule Log Murder is made up of three stories relating to the Yule by best-selling authors Leslie Meier, Lee Hollis and Barbara Ross. Whether you’ve already read these authors (and if not, you should!) or they are new to you, each story is a standalone featuring a character from their well-known, well-loved series.

What a great set of Christmas cozy mysteries to start off the holiday season. Although each of the stories is part of a series, they are very much stand alone stories. In fact, I’ve never read a book from the Hayley Powell series or the Maine Clambake series, and I immensely liked them. I plan on reading more books from all three authors.

Each of the stories provide a unique and interesting mystery. The plots include

A triple holiday treat! Three of my favorite authors have come together in this collection of three novellas, each with a Yule Log. Each features their central character and each is a gem. First is Yule Log Murder by Leslie Meier, followed by Death By Yule Log by Lee Hollis and finishing with Logged On by Barbara Ross.

I love these Christmas mystery compilation books by Kensington and this one was as wonderful as expected! There are 3 different stories, each set in snowy Maine. Each author’s story involves Yule logs in some way and by the end of the book I was definitely hungry for one.

The Lucy Stone story involves a visit from Lucy’s son and grandson and foreshadows some tension in the family.

The Lee Hollis mystery features Hayley Powell- her daughter returns home for Christmas with a man who Hayley believe

I was excited to get this book. I enjoyed their other anthology, Eggnog Murder. I read books by all three authors, and I always love getting a new one! My favorite of these three stories is probably Lee Hollis's. I really like Hayley Powell. The mystery fooled me, and the story advanced the plot line of the longer novels in the series.

The book is set in Tinkers Cove , Maine and the main character of the story is Lucy Stone . Lucy works on the Pennysaver Newspaper in town and work is going to be a lot busier now that it looks like a film is being shot in this small town . Not everyone is pleased that director Ross Rocket is making a film here and it’s not long before trouble arises. This story had lots of twists and turns and I loved that ! Two favorite characters and Christmas - yes! I enjoy Lucy Stone and this Christmas adventure was fun and included her friends and family. Did anyone else not care for Molly, the daughter-in-law? I hope we learn about that situation. Anyway, the first mystery was Lucy and involves a movie being filmed.

The second story is Hayley Powell, a definite favorite for me. Gemma comes home with a new boyfriend Hayley isn't liking and Dustin is with his dad. Of course there's a murder and all gets done in

I received a copy of this title from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. I am a fan of Leslie Meier so I was excited to have a new installment to the Leslie Stone series and a Christmas one to boot! This novel is true to the characters in the series and entertaining to read. The murder wasn't the most complicated to figure out, but was sufficient for a cozy mystery. This is a quick, fun listen to three novellas in long-running series set in Maine at the holidays.
The three authors are Leslie Meier, Lee Hollis, and Barb Ross. I always enjoy a visit with Meier's Stone family. The other authors are new to me, and I also found them enjoyable. Recipes are inserted, and I did find it jarring at times when the recipes interrupted the flow of the stories.

This book is comprised of novellas by Leslie Meier, Lee Hollis and Barbara Ross all of whom I think are good cozy mystery writers.

I thought it was the next Lucy Stone mystery when I started it from the cover and I usually read the Lucy Stone books.

I was frankly disappointed. I think it was a book published for commercial purposes for books that didn't flesh out into novels. I enjoy Christmas stories and cozies but this one just didn't resonate.

Thank you, Netgalley, for this arc!

You don't have to read these authors' respective series in order to enjoy these short stories ... they are fun, quick reads with some definite surprises along the way. You are in good hands with these authors and their sleuthing protagonists as they transport you to Christmas in Maine. I'm looking forward to their Halloween collection!
